We have undertaken extensive consultation with different Defence agencies and will continue to do so as DECNet grows. So far, all feedback from Defence has been overwhelmingly positive.

DECNet has been designed as a resource for all members of the Defence Estate Community, including small and large businesses, uniformed Defence personnel, Australian Public Servants working on the Defence Estate and on Defence Estate projects, and the wider community. The information is useful at all stages of the Estate life cycle, including user requirements planning, estate planning, initial business case development, design, tendering, construction, operation, maintenance and disposal.

DECNet is funded through subscriptions from those who see value in the service we offer. To subscribe, simply hit 'Subscribe'.

Sharing case studies and lessons learnt is a great way to promote your expertise and grow your credibility within the Defence Estate Community. It establishes your business as a trusted partner to Defence and can lead to repeat business.

This is defined as the strength of character to say and do the right thing, always. Having the courage to speak up demonstrates that you live by this value, and helps make the DECNet experience the best it can be.

A DECNet Pro subscription gives you full access to project insights, Defence base profiles, and business intelligence across Australia. Members receive exclusive briefings, tender forecasts, company listings, and direct support to help shape Defence sector strategy and pursuits. It's designed for professionals wanting a competitive edge in Defence infrastructure.

Your funds are invested back into developing the best possible experience for all DECNet users. Some of the ways we do this are:

• Testing and improving existing website functionality
• Developing new functionality for the website
• Collecting and verifying information on current and upcoming projects
• Growing the community of members

DECnet’s search function should be your first stop when starting or joining a new project. The project listing shows all known information about the project and the program it belongs to. If you can’t find the project listing, why not create one? By publishing what you know you can alert potential suppliers and maybe even get some free advice. Next, search the project location for information on the property as well as current and past projects. This will alert you to issues at the site, stakeholders that will need to be considered and other businesses working at or at least familiar with the site. Next, search for key words that relate to your project, such as scope items and key risks. You are sure to find case studies from past projects with a similar scope that have been delivered at other locations, and community members to ask for information.
