IODS is Western Australia’s flagship Defence and security conference and exhibition focused on the Indian Ocean region. It brings together senior leaders from Defence, Federal and State Government, industry, academia and international partners to discuss maritime strategy, force posture, critical minerals, ports and logistics, shipbuilding and the wider security architecture across the Indian Ocean.
Why you should come:
- The content sits directly at the intersection of naval capability, maritime infrastructure and trade routes – all of which drive future demand for bases, ports and enabling estate works from WA across to the NT.
- It’s one of the few forums where WA Government, Defence and primes openly discuss long-term industrial and infrastructure plans for Henderson, Stirling and related precincts, including implications for local industry participation.
- The attached exhibition floor makes it a practical networking environment for consultants, contractors and technology firms looking to position around naval, port and Indian Ocean–facing projects over the next decade.
